“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:19

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Even though Paul is writing from prison, Philippians is a book of joy and contentment. Most of us will never face real persecution for our Christian beliefs, but we do and will face trials (Jam. 1:2-4, Jn. 16:33, Eph. 6:12). Our battles and trials come in all different styles- yet the resounding answer and response according to scripture should be contentment or joy. We don't have to be excited about it, but there is nothing like resting in the peace of God. Where is that peace found? The Bible says [if we let it] the peace which passes all understanding will keep our hearts and minds- through Christ Jesus! Friend, I encourage you to learn to trust the Lord in all things and in every situation.

As we left for our first meeting in October, our van’s transmission decided it was over deputation. I told Holly I didn't know what we were going to do, but I wasn't worried about it. We are doing what we know the Lord has for us, and He promises He will take care of us. We hopped in the rental and hit the road. Through your prayers and your faithful giving, the Lord provided every bit of the $7,000 to pay for our transmission. To those who gave, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! We give the Lord all the Glory and honor for putting you all in our lives. Thank you again!

October & November - 10 States and a Mile or Two

As the missions conference season winds down, we are looking back and reflecting on the sweet people and wonderful churches we have been with. This fall, we have been in every state east of the Mississippi except for Rhode Island. In October and November, we had meetings in 10 different states! It’s always encouraging to see God’s people excited about getting involved in God’s work of missions, from churches that give almost $1 million to missions to churches having their first missions conference. One thing remains the same…. The excitement of getting involved!!

We’ve had the opportunity to do some amazing things with churches, from setting up tables and chairs (a Baptist right of passage) to community outreach, knocking doors, handing out tracts, teaching, and preaching (Holly preaches at me)… It’s been such a blessing to be involved with so many churches across the country! But the highlight of this fall was a young mother (Jessica) who accepted Christ as her savior one night of a missions conference. I asked her if I could share her picture in the prayer letter so people could pray for her. She answered with an enthusiastic YES, please ask people to pray! Would you join me in praying for her as she grows in the Lord?

We talk and preach a lot about “missions,” but missions without Christ is dead! Always preach and point people to Christ; you never know whose heart the Lord is working on.

Praises & Requests

Praise the Lord for Ms. Jessica's salvation! Please pray for her and her walk with the Lord. We also want to thank the Lord for providing for our van repair and for several new supporting churches. We are just over 30%…. PRAISE THE LORD!!

Please pray for the team in South Africa as they prepare for the summer camp season. Please pray that the Lord would start working in hearts now and that souls would be saved! Also,  please be in prayer for the Johnson family as they prepare to move to South Africa very soon and get settled in for Language School.

Thank you again for your continued and faithful prayers!
