Ministry Plan and Vision
South Africa is a diverse nation with 12 national languages and many people groups. It's rich in cultural diversity and natural beauty, but the people are in darkness. People still practice ancestral worship and have been taught false gospels by many "works-based" religions. With over 62 million people and very few churches preaching the true Gospel of Jesus, the need is great!
Our plan is to witness to the lost, disciple the saved, start multiple churches, and train national men to lead and pastor those churches. It is our hearts desire and vision to see these national churches continue and grow to be able to evangelize their people and one day reach people around the world.
Blaine’s Testimony
I was saved at a young age, though I don’t remember the exact date. At five years old, I knelt at home and asked Jesus to forgive my sins and save me. I was so excited that I ran through the house, startling my mom, who thought the house was on fire! At sixteen, I struggled with doubts about my salvation but found assurance while at teen camp, realizing it wasn’t about what I had done but about Christ’s finished work on the cross. I trusted Him alone for salvation by grace through faith. In 2017, the Lord called me to preach, and I surrendered my life fully to Him, not knowing where He would lead. In early 2019, while working with the Atlanta Fire Department, the Lord began to burden my heart for missions. Whenever I preached or taught, especially through Romans 10, I couldn’t escape the conviction that more needed to be done to reach those “without a preacher.” For three months, I prayed privately about this growing call. When I finally mentioned it to Holly, she quickly shot the idea down. However, she later told me that she had been wrestling with the same burden for months. Together, we prayed for wisdom, and God consistently confirmed His call for our family.
Holly’s Testimony
I didn’t grow up in a Christian home. At 12 years old, my aunt took me to Vacation Bible School, where the pastor’s wife explained my need for salvation, and I prayed, asking God to forgive my sins. However, I wasn’t taken to church regularly afterward, as my aunt stopped attending. In 2012, after meeting my husband, I began attending church with him. When we married and moved to Dalton, we were introduced to Whitfield Baptist Church, where we’ve been since 2015. We’ve served faithfully since 2016. In 2019, after months of struggling with the call to missions, I spoke with Blaine, and we prayed together, surrendering to God’s will for our lives. With guidance from our pastor and his wife, along with Bro. Jim and Mrs. Sandy Roberts, we then began preparing through Bible education and training for missions.
